WYANDOTTE TRIBE OF OKLAHOMA
Economic Development
Kelly Carpino
Chief Executive Officer

A lover of laughter who treasures time with family and friends!
A listener of music who loves to turn up the dial!
A fanatical fan of Kansas basketball who you can find screaming at the TV during the season!
A forever student of golf who is kept inspired by the infrequent good shot!
A numbers geek who could recite multiplication tables in kindergarten before I could tie my shoes.
This deftness with numbers pushed me towards a career in business and finance. For the past nineteen years, I have had the pleasure of being a part of the Wyandotte Nation business development team and currently serve as CEO for the Nation’s business enterprises.

Janette Arnold
Turtle Stop Manager

I have worked at the Turtle Stop in Wyandotte for Twelve years.
Twelve years ago, I had hobbies, and I vaguely remember what they were. There must be some sort of head trauma from all the head banging over the years because I cannot remember what those hobbies were!
There must be brain damage… because to this day, I still love my job.

Ron Brown
Operations & Business Development Manager

Because I am motivated by fun, I like to be around people that know how to have good, clean fun!
Before coming to WTOK in 2009, I spent twenty-five years in customer service, sales and account management for various companies. I have sold many things from bedding materials and hardware to paint. In every role, I find the people are both the most important and interesting aspect of the job.
In my current role as Business Development and Operations Manager, I enjoy the variety and spontaneity of the position(s). I may be quoting a machined part for a WPP customer, selecting a pizza for our C-Stores or working trade shows to support our contracts department.
When I am not at work, I like to be on the lake, either in our boat or in kayaks. I love building or fixing things and hope to have a workshop when I retire to keep myself busy. I am sure I will also be busy making trips to China to see the grandkids.

Katlin Deaton
Turtle Stop Manager

I thrive on the excitement of a fast-paced convenience store. As a manager, I enjoy providing a safe and fun environment for my employees. I started working for the tribe back in 2012 in the diner, and from there I was able to work my way up to a mangers position. I am in charge of daily operations of the Turtle Stop Grove convenience store.
One of my pest peeves is when someone talks while their mouth is full of food.
I would have to say my favorite place is anywhere my family are, whenever I have free time I enjoy spending it with family.
Scott Horner
HR Director

In an age where specialists are all the rage, I’ve been blessed to live a more well-rounded life. I am able to greet the sun each morning as I head out to take care of critters. It’s mostly alpacas and dogs these days, but over the years I’ve gotten to know (and sometimes even love) a variety of horses, llamas, donkeys, pigs, sheep, goats, guinea hens, guinea pigs, chickens, and rabbits.
When the morning chores are done, I’m able to head off to my “day job” where I’ve been fortunate enough to travel the country from Washington, DC to San Francisco, and a whole lot of places in between. I’ve gotten to meet some awfully smart people, and have been able to meaningfully participate in a variety of businesses that contribute to this Nation’s economic well-being.
I’ve been a farmer, soldier, student, motel clerk, welder, auditor, ditch digger, truck driver, supervisor, manager, and executive. Oh yeah, I’m a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, uncle, brother, cousin, and friend too.

Edie Ingram
Manager of Training
& Organizational
Development

I want to live in a world where work is not a dreaded evil, everyone has access to learning, people are connected and engaged and the beach is only steps away.
As an educator with more than 20 years of experience, I have worked as a high school English teacher, a non-profit fundraiser, a Human Resource Director for a franchisee that owned more than forty Sonic Drive-in’s and I am currently the Manager of Training and Organizational Development for the Wyandotte Tribe of Oklahoma. I love serving as a keynote speaker, facilitator and consultant for businesses and organizations in my local community.
When I am not working to help others to achieve their aspirations, I can be found in my sun room drinking coffee surrounded by four very furry cats, designing bohemian jewelry for a local craft show or pondering a way to become a highly over-paid receptionist at a beach front hotel on Sanibel Island, Florida.

Carla King
Senior Controller Gaming Division

As an accountant with more than 20 years of experience, I have worked as a revenue accountant for an Oil & Gas Company, a staff accountant for NEO A&M College, a controller for Shangri La Resort and for the last 14 years as a controller for the great Wyandotte Nation!
My management style is to not micro-manage but to allow my team to think and make mistakes. As we all know, you learn more from your mistakes than your successes.
When I’m not working, I’m still working at my second job as a chauffeur!!!! My youngest child plays travel softball and we are always on the go.

Ed Lambert
Internal Audit Director

After over twenty years working in managing internal audit functions for large international companies and traveling the world, I found a great home eight years ago in Wyandotte. I am fortunate to get work with a great team of dedicated people that care about their work, company and fellow team members.
For relaxation and enjoyment, I read science fiction/fantasy novels and watch Longhorn sports.

Gary Morrison
IT Director

Until the middle of my junior year in college, I was studying to be a Nuclear Engineer. A summer engineering position, what was to be a one-semester break from college, led me to a career in information technology.
While I do not consider myself to be a computer geek per se, I enjoy staying current on the full spectrum of all things IT and I like the order that technology brings to business.
I am generally a homebody, just hanging out with the dogs, but I also enjoy nice long road trips, discovering all the hidden gems of the US.

DaLana Rutledge
Accounting Manager

I am the Accounting Manager for Wyandotte Tribe of Oklahoma by day and a taxi driver and an ATM for my children when I am not working. I have worked for WTOK for 21 years. I have seen many changes in the company and in my life since I have been here. I began my accounting career two weeks after graduating college as a Staff Accountant for Wyandotte Network Communications. We have since then started many companies and I have had the opportunity to develop and grow as a leader.
I am a Wyandotte Nation Tribal member and it is an honor to get to work for my Tribe and to see how the things we do benefit other tribal citizens. The thing I enjoy the most about my job is working with others and providing assistance or help in any way that I can. If we all work together as a team it makes all of our jobs easier. Our days are very unpredictable and you never know what each day might hold, it keeps things exciting around here.
I used to identify myself by the things I did or the things that I had accomplished. I went to MSSU on a track scholarship, I was All American my senior year, and was inducted into the MSSU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2010. When I had children I began to identify myself as the mom of Devon and Angelina. I love watching them grow and develop into respectable young adults, seeing their accomplishments, and I am anxious to watch them become successful in life.
In my free time I enjoy being outdoors and doing home improvement projects. If I don’t have a project to keep me busy I’m probably binge watching Netflix with Angelina, of course the show of her choice.

Neil Spencer
Wyandotte Technologies
General Manager

Spending time with my wife and kids is my favorite thing to do. It really doesn't matter what it is we are doing it's that we are doing it together. My wife and I started having children when we were young so we hope to have many years of actively enjoying the company of our family and seeking new adventures.
I have worked professionally since I was about fifteen years old. I started at Murphy's Restaurant in Baxter Springs as a dishwasher and bus boy. I have worked steadily since then and am extremely loyal when I find an occupation I love. My most recent job prior to coming to work for Wyandotte Technologies was Joplin Fire Protection where I worked for over eighteen years. I really love the world of life-safety and security technologies and ways they can be integrated and implemented to make the world a safer place.
I lead Wyandotte Technologies and am always looking for new and innovative ways to help clients with their safety and security needs. I have a talented staff of seasoned professionals who each bring something very important to the table. This is the first professional job I have held that has a mission statement that doesn't change every time the wind does. In having that solid foundation and noble goal in mind I look forward to adding growth and depth to what we offer and provide.

Katie Thompson
Contracts Manager

I am the Contracts Manager for the Wyandotte Tribe of Oklahoma, where I lead the sales team in the pursuit and execution of federal contracts. As a Certified Federal Contracts Manager with over a decade of experience, I oversee proposal development and contract administration to ensure compliance with clauses, regulations, deliverables, and reporting requirements for civil and defense contracts.
The sales team has won several multi-million dollar IDIQ contracts under my leadership and the Department of Energy and the Small Business Administration have recognized the WTOK businesses for their performance. I believe that with hard work, a willingness to learn and faith in God you can achieve any goal.
My attention to detail and work ethic were developed as a child, growing up on a small farm in Northern California where I raised livestock and was a leader in the 4-H and FFA.
Today my family and I live on a farm in Wyandotte, Oklahoma with an assortment of dogs, cats, horses and a goat named Kevin. I enjoy the outdoors, reading, singing karaoke and painting feathers and can be found at a rodeo or sporting event with my kids on most weekends.

Jan Woody
Controller

I am always up for an adventure! I have had a number of hobbies in my life, most of them involving the outdoors. Sailing, riding motorcycles, hiking, water skiing and scuba diving are just a few of the hobbies I have enjoyed.
As Controller, within Higher Education for 20 years-15 at Pittsburg State and 5 at the University of West Florida- working with young adults filled me with energy and a positive outlook on life.
I love my job as Controller at WTOK because every day is unique, and there is always a new challenge to solve. I especially enjoy the relationships I have formed with my colleagues.
Family is very important to me also. I love spending time with them, gardening, boating, vacationing, and just hanging out together. My grandkids are my joy, and keep me busy attending athletic, academic and musical events.
